After a BASEMENT Experiment opens a door to other dimensions inside A family’s HOME, their search for answers leads to unthinkable tragedy.
STORY SUMMARY
When a father’s physics experiment opens a door to another reality in the basement of his home, his wife enlists the help of a multidimensional healer and family-friend to help them understand.
But when the healer goes missing inside the door, their attempts to search for him while simultaneously covering up his disappearance results in the death of their youngest daughter. Wracked with guilt and suffering from depression, the parents decide to kidnap a replacement daughter from an alternate reality so their family can be whole again.
When the doppelgänger parents show up to take back their stolen child, the family must face mirror-images of themselves and uncover the deeper truths behind the door and their connection to it.

TOBIE
Tobie is a mother lion, fiercely protective of her family. She’s also a master carpenter with her own design and remodel business, and the sole breadwinner for her family.
Level-headed and practical, Tobie approaches problems with a builder’s mentality: measuring, planning, and ultimately bending the physical world to her will. By design, her life is in a constant state of construction. The house is filled with unfinished projects and she’s always starting a new one. When it seems life might never become what she had hoped to build, Tobie’s anxiety gets the better of her and she must rely on a series of breathing exercises to help maintain composure.
TABITHA
Fourteen years old and a technology addict, Tabitha’s passion is virtual reality game design. She takes after her father’s aptitude with machines, and her mother’s quick wit. As a homeschooler, she has few friends, a mild case of social anxiety, and some resentment for the way her parents chose to raise her.
ELIJAH
After getting his bachelor’s in mathematical physics, Elijah never quite managed to land that high-paying research or faculty job. He’s become a stay-at-home dad, electing to homeschool their daughters because he believes he can provide a better education than the public school system.
While financial stress weighs heavy on the family, he keeps things light with a healthy arsenal of dad-jokes, but has a tendency to prioritize his experiments over the needs of the family.
EVE
Eve stays mostly quiet, watching her older sister for cues. She considers herself a ninja of sorts, sneaking around the house in costume, hiding from her family, then leaping from the shadows to scare them. She’s always on the lookout for ways to help and strives to do her best. While her parents believe they are shielding her from their financial problems, she is very aware of the trouble and change happening around her.

THE DOOR *
When Elijah’s experiment goes wrong a doorway appears in the basement. Inside, they find a long dark hallway, and beyond that a room filled with otherworldly technology with the ability to open more doorways to alternate realities.
In these other realities, doppelgängers of the family live other versions of their lives, some so alien and unrecognizable they appear to be pure representations of the subconscious.
Compelled to unravel the mystery behind this technology and find their missing friend, Elijah and Tobie set out to explore the doorways, a decision which ultimately leads them to an unbearable loss.
